How I-9 Verification Works
01. SCHEDULE
Book your I-9 verification appointment or submit a request for employer/mobile services.
02. BRING YOUR DOCUMENTS
Bring original, acceptable Form I-9 document(s) you have chosen to present.
03. DOCUMENT EXAMINATION
The applicable documents are physically examined for Form I-9 completion.
04. COMPLETE VERIFICATION
The authorized representative portion of the Form I-9 is completed as instructed by the employer.
BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
✓ Bring your original, acceptable documents — not ordinary photocopies.
✓ Documents must be unexpired, unless applicable federal guidance provides otherwise.
✓ You may generally present either one List A document OR one List B document AND one List C document.
✓ Your employer should provide any necessary Form I-9 instructions or authorization.
✓ PCT does not choose which acceptable documents you must present.
✓ Contact us before your appointment if your employer has provided special instructions.
