Laboratory testing performed by certified laboratories

Review of results by a qualified Medical Review Officer (MRO)

Secure and confidential handling of all testing information

TYPES OF DOT DRUG TESTING

DOT drug testing programs may include several testing situations, such as:

PRE-EMPLOYMENT TESTING

Required before performing safety-sensitive job duties.

RANDOM DRUG TESTING

Unannounced testing conducted throughout the year.

POST-ACCIDENT TRAINING

Required following certain workplace accidents or incidents.

REASONABLE SUSPICION TESTING

Conducted when trained supervisors observe signs or behaviors suggesting possible drug use.

CONSEQUENCES OF POSITIVE RESULTS

Employees who test positive or refuse a DOT drug test are immediately removed from performing safety-sensitive job functions.
