TYPES OF DOT DRUG TESTING
DOT drug testing programs may include several testing situations, such as:
PRE-EMPLOYMENT TESTING
Required before performing safety-sensitive job duties.
RANDOM DRUG TESTING

POST-ACCIDENT TRAINING

CONSEQUENCES OF POSITIVE RESULTS
Employees who test positive or refuse a DOT drug test are immediately removed from performing safety-sensitive job functions. Before returning to duty, individuals must complete the federally required return-to-duty process, which may include evaluation by a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), recommended treatment or education, a negative return-to-duty test result, and follow-up testing requirements.

DOT testing is federally regulated drug testing required by the U.S. Department of Transportation for safety-sensitive transportation employees such as drivers of commercial motor vehicles.

DOT drug testing follows a federally required 5-panel urine test that screens for marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines, opiates, and PCP.

A valid photo ID and employer or consortium authorization form (if applicable) are required before testing.

DOT drug testing is required for employees who operate commercial motor vehicles requiring a CDL and work under agencies such as FMCSA, FAA, FTA, PHMSA, and FRA..

Negative results are typically reported within 24–48 hours after laboratory processing. Positive results require Medical Review Officer (MRO) verification, which may take longer.

Positive results must be reviewed and verified by a certified Medical Review Officer (MRO). Employers are notified only after confirmation and proper federal review procedures.
CANCELLATION POLICY
All appointment cancellations are non-refundable. Appointments may be rescheduled if the request is made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time. Reschedule requests made less than 24 hours before the appointment will be subject to a $50.00 rescheduling fee. Clients who fail to appear for their appointment without notice (“no call, no show”) we be required to pay for a new test appointment.
