At Palmetto Compliance & Testing, our Grandparent DNA Testing service is designed to help determine whether an alleged grandparent is biologically related to a child when the alleged father is unavailable for testing.

If the alleged father cannot participate in the test, his mother or father may test in his place to help determine whether they are the biological grandparent of child. By comparing the DNA of the child and the alleged paternal grandparent(s), the laboratory can analyze the likelihood of a biological family relationship.

This type of testing is commonly used for personal knowledge, family verification, inheritance matters, immigration purpose, and certain legal situations depending on the testing option selected.

The collection process is simple, non-invasive, and typically performed using painless cheek (buccal) swabs from each participant. All samples are collected and handled using professional procedures to help ensure accurate, reliable, and confidential results.

Once collected, specimens are securely submitted to an accredited laboratory where advanced DNA analysis is performed under strict quality control standards. Results are carefully reviewed and delivered confidentially within the standard laboratory turnaround timeframe.

• 1 Child

• 1 Mother (Highly Recommended for Increased Accuracy)

Cancellation Policy

All appointment cancellation are non-refundable. Appointments may be rescheduled if the request is made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment time. Reschedule requests made less than 24 hours before the appointment will be subject to a $50.00 rescheduling fee. Clients who fail to appear for their appointment without notice (“no call, no show”) will be required to pay for a new test appointment.
